Radon Reduction Grant Program

FREE RADON TEST KITS FOR LOW INCOME HOUSEHOLDS
*Does not include shipping to the lab for analysis (Approx. $9 to ship to lab)

If you are a low-income household residing in Nova Scotia, you may qualify for a free radon test kit.

 

  • Annual household income has to be less than $60,000 per year. For the distribution of the free long-term radon test kits LungNSPEI will work on the honor system (we reserve the right to request proof of income)

  • You must be a resident of Nova Scotia, currently living in the province.

  • Recipient must agree to share the results of the long-term radon test kit with LungNSPEI, who will in turn, share the results with the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables to support maintaining and adding data to the Nova Scotia Radon Map.

1-888-566-5864 to have a LungNSPEI staff member register online on their behalf.

*Only applications who qualify, with all information completed, will be eligible to receive a free long term radon detector

**Shipping fees to get the radon detectors to the lab are not included.
