The PEI Radon Education Day is an educational event that will bring Islanders together to learn from regional experts about radon gas, the health risks associated to long-term exposure to high levels and actions that every Islander can take to test for and remediate high levels of radon. Additionally, we will provide an overview of radon awareness and action-based initiatives happening across the Atlantic region and future opportunities for PEI. 

 

Objectives

• Increase understanding of what radon gas is, and how it enters a home.

• Increase understanding of the health risks of long-term exposure to high levels of radon.

• Increase understanding of how to test for and remediate high radon gas levels.

• Increase awareness of radon initiatives across the Atlantic region and opportunities for PEI.
